Im Februar werden Orchester-Arrangements zu Ants und Harrys gemeinsamen Werk Tarka vom London Philharmonic Orchestra unter der Leitung von Ants Freund Jeremy Gilbert in den Londoner CBS Studios eingespielt, was für die kommenden zehn Jahre die letzte Aktivität zu diesem Projekt sein wird.

Mit den alternativen Titeln Waterland, Pursuit, Morning Dew, Oceans, Summit Of Power und Storm werden Jahre später reine Tarka-Orchester-Mixes auf den Library-Veröffentlichungen Classical Spirit und Art House landen.
Unmittelbar danach nehmen sich die beiden im März die Zeit, um nach den Demos von 1975 ihre Gypsy Suite final auf Band zu bringen. Man holt sich auch Gastrmusiker dazu, doch leider bleibt auch dieses Projekt in dieser Phase stecken, bis Harry zwei Jahre später Aufnahmen davon für ein Hörspiel überarbeiten und verwenden und schließlich 16 Jahre später der „Duo-Mix“ der Gypsy Suite ohne Begleitmusiker veröffentlicht werden würde.

Außerdem beginnt er im Herbst mit Produzent Rupert Hine an einer Musical-Adaption des im August erschienenen Buchs Masquerade von Kit Williams zu arbeiten. Auch ein Studio-Upgrade gönnt sich Ant mit dem Austausch seiner beiden TEAC Bandmaschinen mit einem Allen & Heath Brenell Mini 8 Tape Recorder, der ihm die nächsten acht Jahre treue Dienste leisten wird …
