Steve Hackett: 14 CD Boxset ‚Premonitions‘ The Charisma Years 1975 – 1983

Music Grouphat bekannt gegeben, dass im Oktober 2015 ein 14-Disc-Boxset von Steve Hackett namens Premonitionsveröffentlicht werden wird, das seine Musik aus der Zeit bei Charisma
Records (1975-83) wiedergeben wird.

Enthalten sind zunächst einmal die ersten sechs Alben vonVoyage of the Acolyte bis Highly Strung. Besonders ist, dass die ersten vier Alben zusätzlich in neuen
5.1 Surround Sound Versionen erscheinen werden, die von Steven Wilson abgemischt wurden.

Von diesen neuen Mixen sind zwei nativ erstellt worden (Please Don’t Touch und
Spectral Mornings). Bei Voyage of the Acolyte und
Defectorsind die Multitrackbänder nicht mehr auffindbar, weshalb die Surroundmixe aus den Stereo Mastern abgeleitet wurden. Zusätzlich gibt es noch zwei CDs mit neuen Stereo-Mixen zu Please Don’t Touch und Spectral Mornings. Hier ist der Sinn etwas unklar, wir bemühen uns um Aufklärung. Cured und Highly Strung wurden in Stereo nicht neu abgemischt.

Desweiteren wird das Boxset verschiedene Liveaufnahmen enthalten: Die komplette Oxford Show auf 2 CDs, Reading1981, Drury Lane 1979 und die BBC Session von 1983. Außerdem wird es ein Booklet mit umfangreichen Liner Notes und Fotos geben.

Nach den letzten Informationen soll das Set Mitte Oktober erscheinen und weitere Details geben wir bekannt, sobald sie feststehen. Das Set kann bei JPC bereits vorbestellt werden.
